Faisal Khyal:

Faisal Khyal , son of Ustad Khyal , renowned musician , singer , composer , music teacher and former director of the music dept. of Afghan TV and radio for over 20 years , is just about ready to unleash his debut CD named : SAAGHARE OMID (coming soon). Having been blessed with a musical pedigree , Faisal showed keen interest in music at tender age of 5 and with his father`s blessings and under his watchfull eye , persued his musical pupilage . Having studied the art of western and eastern music in such far-fetched places as India has enabled him to have a varied taste in music which includes different genres in western music`s repertoire including : pop, rock , reggae , house, lounge and others and in eastern music especially in ghazal and romantic semi-ghazal. Having worked with a variety of different musicians from Inida , Iran , Russia , Britain , Pakistan and the US on his debut CD which has been in the works for over 6 years , he is finally ready to release his first piece of artistic valor which he hopes would find a place in the hearts of music lovers all over the world. Tired of seeing the same trend of music swallow the Afghan music scene , this CD is a token of his regard for the art form and is a departure from the run-of-the-mill Afghan music formula.
